A Surprise Vow Renewal in Rome: Deanna and Steven’s Unforgettable Day

On a warm June day in Rome, I had the pleasure of officiating a heartwarming vow renewal for Deanna and Steven, an adventurous couple who had traveled from Australia with their four children. Unbeknownst to Deanna, Steven had planned a beautiful surprise ceremony set against the historic backdrop of the Roman Forum.

The day began with Steven’s clever plan: he hid Deanna’s wedding ring, which she always left on her nightstand, and made up an excuse to separate from her for part of the morning. Their children, fully in on the secret, played along perfectly.

When Deanna arrived at the Forum, she found Steven waiting, ready for their special ceremony. Overwhelmed with emotion, she quickly understood the reason behind her “missing” ring. It was a touching moment, made even more magical by the iconic Roman setting and the family’s joyful presence.

In a lighthearted twist, Deanna could finally relax, relieved to know she hadn’t lost her ring after all! The day was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories—a true celebration of their journey together as a family.
